For sound therapy we have designed and patented the bilos Golden ratio Paten RF № 150572

How these bilos were invented? In the process of our work on the method of sound therapy «Prayer vigil», a question arose about whether bilos could possess more overtones and wider sounding range. Experiments were held with almost all described Chladni figures, but the answer came mostly due to the divine disposal.  

At the International Science and Art Conference “Music-Mathematics-Natural science” that took place in the Moscow State Conservatory after P.I.Tchaykovsky in April 2014, many reports were presented about “Golden ratio” in music. A thought was born then that it would be worth listening how “Golden ratio” sound in metal. So said – so done! The result exceeded all expectations. In the sounding range, the golden ratio bilos are peculiar for their wider sounding range and more overtones. Such bilos have a deeper sound and more mellow tone, and sound just like Tibetan Singing Bowls. 

Below, there are the results of testing of a usual bilo and a golden ratio bilo.

The couples of compared sounding elements were tuned to the same fixed sound frequency.  

In pictures, we can see the record of the measurement readings (the signal components) of the fixed frequency and 7 overtones. In addition, in pictures, we can see the records of the range at the moment of fixation (Channel 1), and 3D range (Channel 2), where the time-variants of the sounding range are fixed.

In pictures 1 and 2, there are the records of testing of the bilos with ratio 1, 4 and 1,618 respectively. The couple under study was tuned to the fixed frequency of 528Hz. (527, 72 Hz and 527, 92 respectively). Upon comparison of the overtones range in pictures 1 and 2, we can see that in picture 1 the overtones range is brighter than in picture 4 as for their quantity (5 vs 2), and also for the amplitude. In addition, upon comparison of the measurement readings of the LF overtones, located in the diagram to the left of the fixed tone, we notice that the correlation in the first case is equal to 527, 9/263, 5=2, and in the second case – 527, 9/191=2, 76.
